What is Assisted Living?
Assisted Living, also known as Personal Care, is a congregate living/housing arrangement that provides support and supervision services to residents on a 24 hour basis. it is NOT a nursing home. The emphasis of Assisted Living is to maintain and enhance the current daily living skills of residents, enabling them to function in as safe and independent a manner as is safely possible.

Although the main emphasis of Assisted Living is on activities of daily living, resident's physical and mental wellbeing is monitored, with problems being reported to family and physician. In order to maintain the mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing of our residents we encourage various types of activities that enable them to continue using daily living skills. Physical stimulation such as walking, crafts, interaction with animals and other residents occur under our watchful eye. Everyday tasks such as folding laundry, crumbling bread for birds or stroking the fur on a cat  encourage a non-sedintary lifestyle that maintains resident functionability both physically as well as mentally.
